Further Developments

Overall I felt like my series lost the chess board effect that I had orginally. To overcome this I would have shot the fifth image differently to make the 'first move' seem more dramatic. Another point is that the series lacked cohesiveness all together because I was trying to portray so many different emotions in each shot. I would have then experimented with the series being black and white apart from a few selective colours, such as the green of the alcohol and the red of the 'blood', similar to the techniques used in Pleasantville or Sin City. I would have also looked at more artist precedents to add richness to the series though I had picked a strange topic so it would have been a challenge. However, I am happy with what I have achieved within the time I had, and with the resources I was able to access at the time.
